There are some wedding days that just feel meant to be from the very beginning—and this beautiful forest & cabin elopement in Tionesta, PA was absolutely one of them. 🤍

From the moment I met Melissa and Robert for our first Teams meeting, I knew we were going to instantly click! Their personalities, their love for one another, their excitement for their elopement, and even how important it was to include their sweet pup, Maelee, in the day made me so excited to be the one capturing it all.

Their elopement took us through multiple gorgeous locations, giving us the opportunity to capture so many different locations that meant so much to them as a couple. From the peaceful beauty of the forest to the gorgeous water area, every location added something completely different to their elopement gallery.

There was something so special about being surrounded by nature, slowing down, and simply allowing the day to unfold naturally. That’s one of the things I love about couples eloping—you don’t need a huge venue or an elaborate setup to create an unforgettable day.

All you need is the person you love, a beautiful place, and the freedom to make the day completely your own. Oh, and maybe a photographer capturing it. 😉

I would be lying if I didn’t bring up the weather forecast though. The rain was threatening to follow us all day long. I was actually driving to the cabin in a full downpour.

BUT, while Robert was getting ready, something incredible happened. The sky opened up. The rain held off for us, and suddenly, we had this beautiful window of time to get outside and capture the day. Honestly? It felt like it was supposed to happen that way.

One of my favorite parts of this day was being able to include their pup, Maelee. For so many couples, their dog isn’t “just a dog.” They’re part of the family, part of their everyday life, and part of the memories they’re creating together. From the first look to portraits, bringing Maelee made this day feel even more true to who they are.

I feel incredibly blessed that they trusted me to capture such an important chapter in their lives.
