Floral Summer Wedding at Lenape Heights

Gorgeous Golf Course Wedding | Ford City, PA

As soon as we reached the golf course, I was in love. The weather forecast called for thunderstorms throughout the day, but we all had our hopes up. As I was finishing up details and getting ready to get Maggie’s dress ready to be photographed, the thunder started. Maggie and Pug were nervous. Everyone in their getting ready rooms could feel that they were nervous and very rightfully so. It was their big day. Their wedding day. They have worked so hard for this special moment to be with their friends and family, and they were supposed to be saying “I do” outside overlooking the entire golf corse!!

As I reassured the ladies that the storm would pass quickly, the rain started to come down. Hard. It was literally raining sideways. Once we all looked outside and noticed the green cover of fog outside and the fact it was raining sideways, we all knew there should be a plan B. Maggie and David texted back and forth to decide if we should try to wait it out or move the ceremony completely. Just as they were about to “call it”, the rain started let up. Friends started to dry off chairs for the friends and family members to sit on and the rain finally stopped!! Just as Maggie started to make her way towards her soon-to-be husband, the sun came out and it stayed out!

I feel like the weather on David and Maggie’s wedding day was a great representation of marriage. Sometimes, there will be thunder and storms that you’ll need to work through and past to get to the sunshine and the good times. The way that David and Maggie handle this bump in the road, I truly believe they can make it through whatever life throws their way. I’m so excited to see David and Maggie start this new journey together as husband and wife. Please enjoy my favorites from their beautiful golf course wedding!!
