where are all my fur mamas at?! i know exactly what it’s like to be that “crazy dog lady”! who else is is with me??

my adventurous boyfriend, Tylor, had this great idea about 6 months ago to get a puppy. we had constantly gone back and forth, back and forth if we should get one or not. of course, he wanted a Chocolate Lab and i wanted a Golden Retriever. that argument is still going on, but as you can tell by the title of this post, you can see who won. i told Tylor that if he was able to pick the type of dog, then i could pick if it was going to be a boy or girl. being a lady myself, of course, female won!
i had never imagined that the next week, Tylor would have found one! being my adventurous boyfriend, i really shouldn’t have imagined anything different. before you knew it, we were on our way to Jamestown, NY to get her! this was so spur of the moment, that we didn’t even bring a blanket to carry her in once we got her! (i know, i know, bad parents. please, no judgement! haha)

we got our Maisy almost 6 months ago when she was just 8 weeks old. we picked her up in Jamestown, NY. she was one of three chocolate lab female puppies. when the lady brought them out, i instantly melted, as did Tylor (no matter what he says)! how were we going to pick between three adorable, little girls?? it was extremely hard, let me tell you. i thought for a minute, “can’t we just take all three of them home?”, but i knew that was never going to fly (haha).
we were finally able to decided on just one and that was our Maisy! we were instantly in love with her. i know what many of you are thinking, is this a post about a human? or a dog? (haha) since we are terrible parents, kidding, of course, like i mentioned before, we didn’t even have a blanket for her to be in. Tylor always has extra clothes in his truck. his shirt became Maisy’s new blankie. we traveled on to PetsMart where we were able to get everything that she needed! then, we were on our way home.

let’s just say, these last 6 months have been anything but boring! from trying to potty train to Maisy chewing on one of my client’s check – not kidding, she really did that. she loves water, (as does every lab), chewing on anything she can get her teeth on, walks with her mom and dad, and she’s such a snuggle bug! right now, we’re currently trying to have her sleep on her own bed, which that’s an experience in itself! hopefully soon, we’ll be able to leave her out of her crate while we go different places. once again, this is a whirlwind! (haha)

below you’ll find some pictures i was able to snap of her. picture me, camera in one hand, treat in the other, constantly saying “sit! stay! Maisy, no!”. never a boring minute with this beautiful, little girl.

where are my other fur parents?? please tell me i’m not the only “crazy dog lady”! comment below with photos of your dogs! tell me some of your best memories with your fur babies!
