Sarah and David | Allegany State Park, NY

Whenever a couple reaches out to me to photograph their wedding, I always highly recommend doing a video chat meeting. I do this so not only we get to see one another face to face, but we can chat about their day, they can ask questions, I can really explain my shooting style and more! I find that to be a very important step within the wedding experience process. I’ve found over the years that couples who take themselves super seriously aren’t always the best fit for me! I love it when couples let their guard down and allow me to get to know them during their session.

Sarah and David are that perfect kind of couple! They are down to earth, easy to talk to, fun to be around and you can just tell that they are so excited to start their life together! Not only did I get to know the two of them, get to laugh with them, but we also had a GREAT time while shooting their session.

This engagement shoot was SO fun, but a bit challenging at the same time. The light was a tad grey from the overcast skies. However, that didn’t keep me from finding ways to capture a beautiful session for these two cuties! Sarah and David wanted their session to take place within Allegany State Park. Sarah frequently hikes all around the park. She knew the park better than I did and I’ve been shooting there for YEARS! (She’s so freaking cute!!)

I can’t express how much I loved getting to know these two during this Cloudy Summer Allegany State Park Engagement. I’m so honored to know that I’ll be the one that gets to capture their big day!! The very next time I’ll see them will be on the wedding day and I can’t wait!!!
