Matt + Kelly | Allegany State Park, NY
This past week I met up with some old friends and let me tell you, it was amazing! Matt and Kelly wanted their engagement session done at Stone Tower in Allegany State Park and it was just the most perfect day for a shoot! The trees still had some leaves, the temperature wasn’t too hot or too cold, the light was gorgeous and the setting was so special to the two of them! The reason these two seemed like friends is because Kelly is actually my cousin’s cousin. So I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her for years!
You won’t believe this, especially after looking at their photos, but Kelly shared that she was a little nervous beforehand. I understand why. It’s such a huge unknown when you’re getting your photographs taken. Thankfully, BOTH Matt and Kelly were just naturals. They didn’t know this about themselves until they were in front of the camera, but they are SO good at this! It makes me so excited for their wedding!!!
Their shoot was right at Stone Tower, where Matt actually proposed to Kelly! I loved hearing about the proposal story, Kelly’s family members hiding while he popped the question. Then, they shared some champagne to celebrate! We didn’t need much to make this shoot gorgeous. We used a little field behind the Tower, the front of the Tower and of course, we had to get some shots from the top. So enjoy some of my favorites and get excited because I have a feeling their wedding is going to be one of my favorites in 2022!!!
