Fall Engagement Shoot in Allegany State Park

Jordan + Melissa | Salamanca, NY

This blog post is a little bittersweet for me. Probably because I’ve known Jordan and Melissa for years now. It started with photographing their sweet, sweet family and watching them grow into the family they are now. Now, I get to watch them become husband and wife and I couldn’t be more excited for them!! Trust me, I LOVE getting the chance to meet new couples, but when couples I’ve known for years get engaged – AH! I can’t even describe the feeling.

Melissa actually reached out to me as soon as Jordan popped the question! I was so excited! We started to talk about where they might want their portraits done and she loved the idea of Allegany State Park. We started at a gorgeous field, which is one of my favorites. The temperature was a little chilly, but Jordan and Melissa didn’t care! They were troopers!

My favorite part of this shoot was simply our time together. I had a chance to catch up with Jordan and Melissa, which is always the best! We wrapped up their shoot right as it started to rain. I was taking the final image of Melissa’s gorgeous ring when I started to feel rain drops. Perfect timing!

I hope you enjoy these favorites!!! And sadly, due to COVID these two are getting married more intimately and on a destination wedding! I’m so sad that these two won’t be joining us again on the blog. However, I know that no matter where these two get married, it’s going to be the most beautiful day!!
