Adam and Lenamae | Limestone, NY

This engagement shoot. WHERE do I even begin?! How about that this was my FIRST shoot since the “yellow phase” and getting the “okay” to photograph again!! As I’m typing this, I’m jumping with excitement. I remember driving to meet Adam and Lena and just being so stinking excited I had butterflies in my stomach. These two were the FIRST ones to be in front of my camera since this quarantine started. Let me just say, I did a happy dance from my house to the location.

I knew this shoot wasn’t going to be like all of my other engagement shoots. Of course that’s not a bad thing, but it wasn’t for the reason of why you’re thinking. I wasn’t able to run up and hug each of them like I usually do. Not to mention wearing a mask that takes up 80% of my face. Judging by what I looked like that day (pandemic problems), that’s probably not a bad thing. I wanted to make this shoot as special for Adam and Lena as I could. Mask and all.

Let me tell you, we had a blast. Even by the end, Adam was saying he had fun!! When you’re wedding photographer and a future groom leaves an engagement shoot saying he had fun, that’s a stinking win, y’all. Really though, these two are just the absolute best. They trusted me from the beginning all the way to the end of the shoot and that’s what I love about not only them, but all of my couples. The pure trust. Not to mention the GLOW we ended up getting!! Talk about a dream!

I loved getting to know both of them more by spending some time together. It’s such an honor to be invited into their lives for this sweet season. Lena’s sweet spirit and calm demeanor makes her so easy to get along with. I can’t wait to see her as a bride and capture their gorgeous wedding!!
